Challenge Cup quarter-final confirmed

Walton Casuals will travel to Godalming Town in the Southern Combination Challenge Cup Quarter Final on Tuesday 7 February.

The Stags have progressed to the final eight after 3-2 victories against Sandhurst Town and British Airways, while the G’s recorded a 4-2 win at Ash United in early December.

The tie will see Casuals assistant manager Dean Thomas face his former side, while Matt Anton and William Efambe have represented both clubs throughout the season.

Walton are yet to get their hands on the trophy, although the visitors had a single success during the 1997-98 season as Godalming & Guildford.┬áThe Stags’ best finish in the competition to date came in the following campaign when reaching the semi-finals.

An opportunity to host Combined Counties outfit Sutton Common Rovers in the semi-finals await for the victors.

Walton Casuals will face Godalming Town at Weycourt with a 19:45 kick-off.
